The clubhouse is available Monday to Wednesday from 7.00pm, Thursday from 7.30pm and Friday from 5.30pm. Availability at weekends during the rugby season depends on club matches. Availability at any other time can be confirmed when applying for hire.

The rate of hire is £150.00 for an event, any earlier time required to set up the venue is not charged but must be agreed in advance.

The bar is available from 19:00 to 23:30 with the premises to be vacated by 00:00. An earlier opening time can be agreed in advance. Card payment is preferred for all bar transactions.

The club reserve the right, depending on the nature of the event and the numbers attending to engage appropriate security, the cost of which will be chargeable to the hirer.

A refundable damage deposit of £100.00 is payable when we create your booking. This secures your date and time(s) and should be paid by BACS into the club account. Details will be provided with confirmation of the booking.

The kitchen can be hired for an additional cost of £150.00. If you choose to hire a caterer, they must be one of the clubs’s approved caterers. If they are not already approved then please submit the details of the chosen caterer with your form. A cleaning deposit of £100.00 is payable if the kitchen is used, this deposit is refundable following an inspection by the club after the event.

  1. BOOKING: All booking applications must be in writing on the booking form provided. The person signing this form will be considered the Hirer. Where an organisation is named in the application the organisation will also be considered the Hirer and shall be jointly and severally liable with the person who signs this form.
  2. DECORATING: Access to the hall will be available before the event to be arranged with the Club.
  3. DEPOSIT: The Hirer will pay a deposit of £100.00 at the time of booking. This will be returned within 30 days of the event, minus the total of any sum withheld to meet unpaid hire fees or cost of repairs – should they be necessary. If hiring the kitchen, a deposit of £100.00 will also be paid at the time of hiring, refundable after inspection of the condition of the kitchen by the club after the event.
  4. SUPERVISION AND RESPONSIBILITY: The Hirer will – for the duration of the rental agreement – be responsible for the supervision of the premises. The property along with its entire contents and assets, their care and safety; as well as the behaviour of all attendees are the responsibility of the Hirer. The Hirer agrees responsibility for any damage or anti-social behaviour throughout the course of their agreement.
  5. END OF AGREEMENT: At the end of the rental agreement the Hirer shall be responsible for leaving the premises and surrounds in a clean and tidy condition. Any contents temporarily removed from their usual positions properly replaced. If this is not the case the Club may charge an additional fee, which may be deducted from the deposit paid at the time of booking.
  6. CHILD PROTECTION: If the hiring involves the attendance of children and young persons under the age of 18 at the premises, the Hirer confirms that there will be in place an appropriate Child Protection Procedure.
    The Hirer agrees to ensure that all adults present on the premises are aware of this Procedure and abide by it.
    The Hirer confirms that where necessary under the terms of the Child Protection Procedure, appropriate Criminal Records Bureau checks will be carried out in respect of persons involved with children and young people on the premises during the course of the hiring.
  7. PARKING: Is limited to the space available at the time provided by Bridport Leisure Centre
  8. EXCLUSIONS: The Hirer shall not use the premises for any purposes other than that described within the agreement and shall not sub-hire or use the premises or allow the premises to be used for any unlawful purpose or in any unlawful way, nor do anything to bring on to the premises anything which may endanger the premises, or any insurance policies connected with the premises.
  9. ALCOHOL: The Club and its surrounds are licensed premises, and no alcohol shall be brought to these premises from any other source. Alcohol not purchased from these premises will be confiscated.
  10. LICENCE: The premises alcohol licence is valid until 23:30 unless an extension has been arranged between the Hirer and the Club – in which circumstance the licence is valid until 00:00 and no alcohol is to be served later than the pre-determined time.
  11. SMOKING & E-CIGARETTES: The premises are a non-smoking, a smoking area is available.
  12. MUSIC: Any Hirer who intends to play music or have live entertainment agrees to inform the Club at the time of booking. The Hirer is responsible for any music licencing. The Hirer is responsible for ensuring that all noise is kept to a level such that neighbours of the premises are not unduly disturbed. The Hirer agrees, in any event, to terminate all loud noise on the premises at 23:30.
  13. PUBLIC SAFETY: The Hirer shall comply with all conditions and regulations made in respect of the premises by the Fire Authority, Local Authority, the Magistrate’s Court or otherwise, particularly in connection with any event which includes public dancing or music, or other similar public entertainment or stage plays and shall ensure that such events shall not involve the infringement of any copyrights or performing rights.
  14. DANCING: Where the purpose for which the premises are hired includes dancing, the Hirer shall not cause or allow the maximum number of patrons and/or guests admitted to exceeding the number specified on the application form.
  15. DAMAGE: The Hirer shall be responsible for the cost of repair of any damage done to any part of the property including the surroundings or the contents of the building, which may occur during the period of the hiring or because of the hiring.
    The Hirer shall not interfere in any way with the switchboard, electricity or gas fittings, meter fittings or fixtures on the premises.
    It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that the electricity supply is appropriate for any equipment used and that any equipment used will not endanger, overload or damage the electricity supply, circuits, wiring, plugs, sockets, switchboards or other equipment.
  16. INSURANCE: The Hirer acknowledges that the loss of any items left unattended is not covered by the Club insurance.
  17. CANCELLATION: If the Hirer wishes to cancel the booking before the date of the event and the Club is unable to conclude a replacement booking, the hirer will forfeit their deposit.
    The Club reserves the right to cancel this hiring, in which case the Hirer shall be entitled to a refund of any deposit already paid.
    Even if the Hirer has a regular booking for the hire of the premises the Club reserves the right to renew, vary or cancel any such regular arrangements. This right will not be unreasonably enforced.
  18. ACCESS: The Hirer shall always allow any duly authorised officer of the Club access to the premises – or any part thereof – during the hiring.
  19. CATERING: If the hirer provides their own catering, they must provide us at the time of booking with the name of the catering business who is approved by the club or submit such details for approval. They should also state the name of the person in charge for our health and hygiene records.
